The position
As a Public Affairs Manager, you will play a central role in both the company’s development and the implementation of influence strategies at European and/or national level. You will lead and contribute to client projects, while supporting the firm’s growth through the development of its client portfolio.
Main missions :
- Actively contribute to the company’s development by engaging in internal structuring efforts, proactively identifying and seizing business opportunities, supporting business development, client outreach, preparation of proposals and follow-up with new clients.
- Analyse European and national public policies and their developments and assess their impact on clients.
- Design public affairs, advocacy and institutional communication strategies.
- Coordinate stakeholder groups or associations (organisation and facilitation of internal meetings, organising strategies, representing them before the European institutions and national authorities), overseeing the administrative and financial management of EU organisations.
- Lead the delivery of client assignments, with the support of dedicated Aliénor teams. This includes ensuring the quality of deliverables in line with contractual expectations and Aliénor high standards, monitoring budgets and deadlines, supervising and supporting consultants in the execution of their tasks, and reporting to the Project Director on progress, challenges encountered and any identified needs.
- Supervise and support the implementation of these strategies through activities such as organising events, coordinating institutional meetings and setting up monitoring activities and new client deliverables.
Your profile
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in public affairs, ideally within a consultancy or a professional association.
- Strong interest in business development, with experience in client prospecting and management.
- Excellent understanding of the functioning of the European institutions and their decision-making processes.
- Ability to foster team cohesion and actively facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders, creating a constructive and engaging group dynamic.
- Strong project management and team coordination skills.
- Excellent writing and analytical abilities.
- Strong verbal communication skills. Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); good knowledge of French is preferred, and any additional European language is an asset.
- Ability to effectively leverage AI tools, including formulating relevant prompts, critically assessing outputs, and supporting their integration within the team, particularly by guiding more junior profiles in their use.
- Very good command of standard office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

What we offer
The position is offered as a permanent contract.
The role is intended to be full-time, although a 4/5 arrangement may be considered.
For a permanent contract, the gross monthly salary ranges from 4.000€ to 4.500€ (depending on experience), plus a 13th-month salary and holiday allowance.
